Our main building, Preikestolen Mountain Lodge, is open year-round. This is our newest building and has become well known in Europe for its architectural, innovative, future-oriented, environmentally friendly and universal design. The lodge contains 27 guest rooms with private bathrooms.
In Matsalen (restaurant) at Preikestolen Mountain Lodge we offer a la carte menu with hot and cold dishes served with a panoramic view of Refsvatnet (lake). Matsalens Norwegian inspired courses are based on local ingredients and cooked in our kitchen. Chose from a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with your meal.
The hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) and back is 8 km and takes 4-5 hours. The route has an ascent of 500m, while some sections are quite steep. As part of the hike to Pulpit Rock involves rough terrain, we recommend wearing footwear with solid soles and good ankle support.
